Sonkajärven Eukonkanto Oy’s participant and customer register.

4. Purpose of Processing Personal Data
The primary purpose of processing personal data is to manage customer relationships (purchasing tickets and registrations, sales, reservations, marketing, and communication). Result information, including the customer’s name, club, age group, and competition result, may be published on the Data Controller’s website and provided for statistical purposes. The data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. Data Content of the Register
The register may contain the following information depending on whether it is a product or ticket purchase or registration as a competitor:

  • Name, address, phone number, email address, year of birth, nationality, T-shirt size, hobbies
  • Necessary information about the registered person’s consent, customer relationship, or other relevant connection
  • Information about messages sent to the registered person
  • Information about the content of the customer relationship, purchased services, and payment transactions
  • Information about results achieved in competition events
  • Information about participation in series or teams

6. Regular Data Sources
Information regarding the registered person is regularly obtained directly from the registered person via the internet, email, telephone, forms, or similar means.

7. Regular Disclosures of Data
Participant information may be disclosed to the media. The participant data is also provided to an external timing system, the information of which is published to the public. Other information contained in the register is not disclosed to third parties.

8. Transfer of Data Outside the EU or EEA
Personal data is not transferred outside the territory of EU member states or the European Economic Area.

9. Principles of Register Protection
A) Manual Material
If manual material is printed from a digitally stored register, the material is kept in a controlled environment with access limited to the Data Controller.
B) Automatically Processed Data (ATK)
Personal data is properly protected. The Data Controller stores the data in databases protected by firewalls and other technical means. The databases and their backups are located in a locked premises of the association. Only designated individuals employed by the association have access to the data.

10. Right of Inspection
Every individual in the register has the right to inspect the data stored about them. Informal inspection requests should be addressed via email to the register administrator at toimisto@eukonkanto.fi.

11. Right to Request Data Correction
Every individual in the register has the right to request correction of any incorrect information about them in the register. Informal correction requests should be addressed via email to the register administrator at toimisto@eukonkanto.fi.

12. Other Rights Related to the Processing of Personal Data
The registered individual has the right to prohibit the processing of their personal data for direct marketing, distance selling, and other direct marketing, as well as market and opinion research, and for the compilation of personal directories and genealogical research.
